MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON Monday 12th September at Lofthouse Village Hall at 7.30pm

  1. PRESENT Chair Cllr R. Watson, Cllr. S Ramsden, Cllr D. Fothergill, Cllr M Wells, Cllr A Sykes, Cllr D Verity, Cllr J Carter and Clerk Mr Alan Bean as well as over 100 members of the local community

  4. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING Proposed Cllr S Ramsden, Seconded Cllr D Fothergill

  5. DEATH OF THE QUEEN A minutes silence was held for the Queen. A book of condolence is available at St Cuthberts. The council will endeavour to get another in Middlesmoor.

  6. MATTERS ARISING Nothing

  7. COUNCILLORS REPORTS Chair is to investigate garage that has appeared near Ramsgill Bridge.

  8. FIRE STATION None

  9. CCTV . Nothing to report

  10. STREET LIGHTS nothing to report

  11. VILLAGE ISSUES None

  12. PARKING NEAR RESERVOIR None

  13. HIGHWAYS Cllr Murday, Yorkshire Water and Area 6 Highways are to be asked to join council members regarding the ongoing issue near the reservoir. Cllr Verity noted issues with the verges. This is the responsibility of North Yorkshire County Council

  14. PLAYGROUNDS REPORT Seats are due to arrive soon at the playgrounds. Ramsgill Clay Pigeon Shoot has donated £400 towards playgrounds.

  16. PLANNING APPLICATIONS 22/01101/FUL John Rowley, The council agreed the front and side is not appropriate for the area.

  18. MILLENIUM MARQUEE The council agreed the Marquee will no longer be rented out to events outside the parish.
