MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON Monday 11th March 2024 at Middlesmoor Village Hall 7.30pm

1. PRESENT Cllr S Ramsden, Cllr D. Fothergill, Cllr R Harker, Cllr D Verity, Cllr A Sykes, County Cllr A Murday Cllr. A Challis and Clerk Mr Alan Bean

4. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

5. LOFTHOUSE SCHOOL At the meeting the committee agreed to investigate what has happened. A meeting on the 19^th March is to decide the final decision. Cllr Murday explained he is going to push for this to go the Oversight and Scrutiny committee.

6. MATTERS ARISING Nothing

7. COUNCILLORS REPORTS . Cllr A Murday reported the triathlon is now to be from Masham, and on 6^th to 8^th September. The routes are to be very similar. The council tax is due to rise . Harrogate area are expecting a 3.69% increase. There will be a live stream into Masham.

8. FIRE STATION Nothing to report

9. STREET LIGHTS Lofthouse pub lights are still ongoing. Stean light cannot use existing wiring.

10. VILLAGE ISSUES Nothing to report

11. PARKING NEAR RESERVOIR None

12. HIGHWAYS Potholes are becoming an issue. It was noted how badly the repair to the recent pothole near the vicarage.

13. PLAYGROUNDS Nothing to report

14. PARISH CARETAKER nothing to report

15. PLANNING APPLICATIONS ZC24/00596/FUL Rear extension and dormers. The council feels the large Glass front is not in keeping with the area.

17. MILLENIUM MARQUEE in storage for the winter.
