MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON Monday 10th June at Middlesmoor Village Hall 7.30pm

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

LOFTHOUSE SCHOOL Now emptied, the council is looking into ownership of the land / school which the council believes is in the Jack Lazenby trust. The council is also looking at removing the mosaic in the school, for a suitable place in the community

MATTERS ARISING Landowners and flooding is a big issue during the winter, so the council is looking at discussing this with landowners with issues of water running onto the roads. It was noted some councils now prosecute landowners who do not use suitable drainage. Our parish council does not wish this to happen but are aware this is not their decision but a county issue.

COUNCILLORS REPORTS Cllr A Murday was able to only comment on items non political due to up coming election. As such his report covered the fact the school is closed, Although he was unable to comment on items due to political limitations but was able to take notes for after the election, of areas he might be able to hep with..

FIRE STATION It is very limited at the moment, on what it can deal with. Volunteers always needed.

STREET LIGHTS The lamp at Bouthwaite road end needs dealing with, this is to be on next agenda.

VILLAGE ISSUES 1 bench at Ramsgill has been damaged through wear and tear. Duscussions were about potential of a replacement, or if commuted sums could help. It was pointed out commuted sums maybe able to help but would need investigation before going further.

PLAYGROUNDS The fence is loose and needs work, so Chair is to discuss this with landowner who owns the fence.
