MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON Monday 8th July at Ramsgill Village Hall 7.30pm

  1. PRESENT Cllr S. Ramsden Cllr D. Fothergill, Cllr R Harker, Cllr A Sykes, Cllr J Carter County Cllr A Murday and Clerk Mr Alan Bean

  3. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING Proposed Cllr D. Fothergill, Seconded Cllr J Carter

  4. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST none

  5. LOFTHOUSE SCHOOL NYC believe they own the property, however this is being investigated

  6. MATTERS ARISING Drainage from Landowners contact with the landowners has been made, but nothing further has occurred yet.

  7. COUNCILLORS REPORTS Long course event details show they are going through this area, with potential of 1000 cyclists, yet no road closures or plans have been shown to the council. The council is concerned about the route and the road near the reservoir with both professional and amateur cyclists down a road with blind corners, and potential for traffic on the same road. The long course company is also offering local organisations funding for help as marshalling.

  8. FIRE STATION The fire station is short on helpers, and are looking for volunteers.

  9. STREET LIGHTS Stean street light is being looked into by the chair.

  10. VILLAGE ISSUES Commuted Sum is a potential source for a bench. Cllr D Fothergill is looking into this.

  11. PARKING NEAR RESERVOIR None

  12. HIGHWAYS There are plans for road closures for the power grid. Grass and Hedges are becoming an issue

  13. PLAYGROUNDS Fence has been repaired, Invoice received.

  14. PARISH CARETAKER nothing to report

  15. PLANNING APPLICATIONS None

  16. COMMUTED SUMS Village halls have funds available, yet to be claimed.
