Cllr S Ramsden is going to be looking at the Middlesmoor notice board to see if it needs repair or replacement.

  7. LOFTHOUSE SCHOOL Sale of the school has been announced. County Cllr A Murday explained the basics of what is happening, and possible avenues open to the community, including possible finance available through housing associations and relevant schemes. There is still a question about ownership under the Lazenby trust, which is believed to have control over a section of the land of the school, possibly administered by the church. It is believed this area could be stated of education purposes only. The community confirmed their interest in using the school for the Village hall instead of the current site. Proof of the community usage of the school hall was provided. It was agreed the next step was to arrange a meeting with the members of North Yorkshire Council involved with this sale.
