MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON Monday 12TH October 2020 at Middlesmoor Village Hall at 7.30pm

Full social distancing was maintinated during the meeting

  1. PRESENT Cllr S. Ramsden, Cllr D. Fothergill, Cllr A Sykes, Cllr M Wells, Cllr A. Challis, and Clerk Mr Alan Bean plus 2 members of the public

  6. COUNCILLORS REPORTS The Cllrs reported that the damage on the road to Ramsgill is not clearly signposted, meaning oncoming vehicles come across it in the last minute. The soil under the road is being erodid by water, and damaging the surface. Highways (area 6) is to be advised of the issues for drivers, as well as reminded about the issues. Cllr Fothergill has brought up the possibility of an honesty box for the carpark in Lofthouse. This will be discussed at a later time. Cllr S Ramsden informed us Heathfield and Stean road has been resurfaced.

  7. FIRE STATION Awaiting notfication of garages

  8. RIGHTS OF WAY Nothing to report

  9. CCTV . There was talk about fitting CCTV on Bridge Inn to catch bottom of the valley. This is to be considered in further meetings

  10. STREET LIGHTS Currently all working

  11. TELEPHONE BOXES Clerk is going to contact BT about repainting of Lofthouse and Ramsgill, and Repair of Middlesmoor

  13. HIGHWAYS The road at Ramsgill, as covered in councillor reports
