MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON
Monday 11th June 2018 at Middlesmoor Village Hall at 7.30pm

  1. MATTERS ARISING Litter Bins, Concil has been contacted, and awaiting prices.

  2. COUNCILLORS REPORTS Cllr S Lumley reported on new road at Kex Gill is still ongoing and is awaiting reports from enviromental consulations. If everything continues as planned, it could be as little as 18 months before work starts. Average time for a new road to be built is 12 yrs, whereas this woud be on track for 5 yrs. The recent collapse at Kex Gill, meaning the closure of the section of road, it was fet may help increase the speed to work comencing. Cllr A Sykes wished to comment on potential collapse of land near road due to erosion. This has been reported to Highways although this may not be their issue, it is the first point of call. Cllr A Chalis, while discussing waste bins, pointed out that recycling isn’t operating as should. Cllr A Challis pointed out that certain places were advised to buy their own recycling bins, and recently have stopped these collections. Cllrs added that during summer months, these collections that occur in HBC collection points, are lacking. The increase of people in the area has increased the recycling, meaning the recycling bins are now explanding massively. Clerk is contacting HBC cc Cllr Lumley to find out what is happening. Councillors wished to point out their disappointment with some lack of discussion and comments with some panning applications

  1. RIGHTS OF WAY Cllr R Watson is due to report on this for next meeting

  2. WAR MEMORIALS Cllr R Watson is due to report on this for next meeting. Mr Turner has offerred to pay 75% towards Ramsgill War Memorial, with the parish council to pay the remaining 25%. This has yet to be Finalised. The council agreed to contribute the remaining 25% when finalised.

  3. HIGHWAYS In recent weeks the potholes in the area have been dealt with by the highways dept. The Parish council will now contact highways with the view to repairing minir repairs

  4. PLAYGROUNDS REPORT . No new issues to report

  5. PARISH CARETAKER The Caretaker nees to check on insurance level, and provide copy

  6. RAMSGILL GREEN Nothing new happening at the moment

  7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS – 6.28.44.C.FUL Yew Bank the council had no objections, – 18/01591/FUL Yorke Arms the council had no objections – 18/01777/RG3 Old Cornmill The council suppoted the application – It was agreed a letter would be sent to applicant, confrming our strong support to information board in application

  8. Parish Council Emergency Plan is to remain the same, Chair and Vice Chair of the day are the coordinators, supported by parish councillors

  9. MILLENIUM MARQUEE £50 received

  10. PINFOLD nothing to report

  11. WEBSITE now GDPR compliant

  12. GDPR – Areas that need addressing include Emails. The council aggreed for the clerk to arrange a new email system, that is linked only to the council. This is to be around an estimated £6- £10 per month*

  13. CORRESPONDENCE

  14. ACCOUNTS – accounts have been audited and approved by the council as correct. No issues were found in any areas of the audit.
