  5. MATTERS ARISING Litter Bins in the area, are too small for summer months issues. It was suggested that larger ones my help, instead of the small bins currently in place.

  6. COUNCILLORS REPORTS Cllr Lumleywanted to state the success of the Tour De Yorkshire, for local businesses. Social media had a lot of coverage of the area, even though the TV coverage that good for this area. Cllr Ramsden reported he had a member of the public talk to him about the Buses not going to Middlesmoor . Wifi in Village halls was also mentioned again. All village halls were contacted regarding the options for adding wifi, but none have responded to this. Cllr R Watson said he would look into possible costs, to then consider this further. It was also pointed out that if only 1 village hall had wifi, the council might need to consider using that hall only for future meetings.

  1. RIGHTS OF WAY .Evidence statements are being handed out around Lofthouse, to show the pathway has been used regularly for years. No pressure is being put on residents to complete the forms, but it would be helpful if they could

  2. WAR MEMORIALS Ramsgill is awaiting a second quote. Middlesmoor is quoted at 956 + vat. Cllr R Watson has been authorised to have confirmation of this quote, and to get the work done.

  3. HIGHWAYS There are now many potholes in the area. As the caretaker has extensive knowledge of dealing with potholes, it was suggested we contact the council with a view to him fixing minor potholes, as NYCC will only repair 4 cm deep potholes. It was mentioned that a meeting for parish councils is due with the hoghways department. Cllr Ramsden suggested it may well be worth a discussion with them at this meeting before contacting the council for caretaker to fill holes. And to report all holes to NYCC in the meantime. Clerk and Cllr Ramsden are to arrange a suitable time to do this during the next few weeks.
