MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON Monday 14th February 2022 at Middlesmoor Memorial Hall at 7.30pm

Full social distancing was maintained during the meeting

  1. PRESENT Chair Cllr R. Watson, Cllr. S Ramsden, Cllr J Graham, Cllr D. Fothergill, Cllr A Sykes, Cllr J Carter and Clerk Mr Alan Bean

  6. COUNCILLORS REPORTS Councillors have been informed that County Councillor S Lumley has put forward Upper Nidderdale Parish Council for £1000 towards Jubilee celebrations. A review is taking place regarding 4×4’s on lanes and damage possible caused. This is called the Green Lane review. The council has agreed we dont want green lanes becoming other use. Chair is putting forward councils view.

  7. FIRE STATION The garages have been removed, but no safety fencing has been erected. Cllr D Fothergill is checking into this. The Fire station has been called out a few times.

  8. CCTV Nothing to report

  9. STREET LIGHTS No1 light in Middlesmoor has been sorted

  10. VILLAGE ISSUES Nothing to report

  11. PARKING NEAR RESERVOIR Nothing to report

  12. HIGHWAYS Gulleys are blocked in many places, causing flooding over roads.

  13. PLAYGROUNDS REPORT The chair is looking at future work on playgrounds, including repairs and upgrades.

  14. PARISH CARETAKER Nothing to report

  15. PLANNING APPLICATIONS 22/00342/FUL Enlargement of stone built hut at Lofthouse The council had no objection

  16. COMMUTED SUMS Benches are now put forward to receive funding

  17. MILLENIUM MARQUEE Confirmation on a booking is still pending

  18. PINFOLD nothing to report

  19. WEBSITE Nothing to report

  20. JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS Meeting was held on 28th January. All villages had representatives there. Discussions went well, and are looking into Beacons for the date. Next meeting to be 4th March in Lofthouse.

  21. ACCOUNTS as listed below. It was agreed to change banks. This to be done nearer to end of tax year
