MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON Monday 8th September at Middlesmoor Village Hall at 7.30pm

  1. PRESENT Cllr R Harker, Cllr D. Fothergill, Cllr D Verity, Cllr J Graham, Cllr M Wells, County Cllr A Murday and Clerk Mr Alan Bean and 2 members of the public

  2. APOLOGIES Cllr A Sykes, Cllr A Challis, Cllr J Carter, Cllr S. Ramsden

  3. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING Proposed Cllr D. Fothergill Seconded Cllr M Wells

  4. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

  5. MATTERS ARISING Cheque needed to be reissued due to incorrect name on cheque

  6. COUNCILLORS REPORTS Cllr Murday has been asked about a Band room car parking space and if it is sold, could the it be used for a redeveloped building. The boundary commission have looked at the options, are now looking at the original plans again and inviting response by the 15th October.

  7. LOFTHOUSE SCHOOL The trustees are waiting on a legal response. A map has been sent showing the land offered to the council. The council has decided to discuss in more depth at the next meeting.

  8. FIRE STATION Still needing recruits

  9. STREET LIGHTS No issues that the Parish Council is currently aware of, the concrete post has been removed.

  10. VILLAGE ISSUES There is a tree down on the entrance to Ramsgill. This damaged a stone wall and a fence. The remainder is dangerous. Yorkshire Water have been informed by Cllr M Wells.

  11. PARKING NEAR RESERVOIR None

  12. HIGHWAYS Caretaker has been working on areas that were intruding into the roads.

  13. PLAYGROUNDS It has been mentioned to the council by a member of the public that Middlesmoor needs looking at, however this isn”t Parish Council property.

  14. PARISH CARETAKER Awaiting on invoices

  15. PLANNING APPLICATIONS None

  16. COMMUTED SUMS Nothing new

  17. MILLENIUM MARQUEE Marquee has been out for Cricket Club. Payment yet to be received

  18. PINFOLD nothing to report

  19. WEBSITE nothing to report

  20. CORRESPONDENCE Nidderdale Plus has emailed the Parish Council asking for volunteers from the council
