MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

ELD ON Monday 9th March at Middlesmoor Village Hall at 7.30pm

  1. PRESENT Cllr R Harker, Cllr S. Ramsden, Cllr D. Fothergill, Cllr J Carter, Cllr D Verity, Cllr J Graham, Cllr A Challis, County Cllr A Murday and Clerk Mr Alan Bean

  6. COUNCILLORS REPORTS Cllr A Murday reported NYC has granted an award to Heritage Trust. Contrary to local rumours, Pateley Bridge is not going to be closed throughout the summer. A document on the North Yorkshire council website appeared to state that, but that was reserving time for work, not closing the centre of the town. It was also reported to the council by a number of people that a dog bin has been stolen. This means a large amount of bags and other items left around that area.

  7. LOFTHOUSE SCHOOL Nothing new to report

  8. FIRE STATION There seems to be a lack of support for the fire station from the regional level.

  9. STREET LIGHTS Cllr Murday explained he was waiting on a response from NYC on light no6 in Middlesmoor .

  10. VILLAGE ISSUES Lofthouse Memorial Hall is looking into damp proofing and access for contractors to do the work. Cllr D Fothergill has been informed pf a fence being put across a public right of way. It is believed this is temporary while flood damage is sorted, but council is checking this. Cllr S Ramsden stated it was time to plan a litter pick, planning it for the 31st of March.

  11. PARKING NEAR RESERVOIR None

  12. HIGHWAYS There are various potholes in the area. Cllr A Challis is forwarding “what three words” locations to get them reported to highways. Wath bridge signage is still to be sorted

  15. PLANNING APPLICATIONS 26/00677/FUL Bridge End Ramsgill The council stated the Aluminium is not in keepign with the rest of the property

  21. ACCOUNTS The council agreed to look into considering a change of bank accounts, A meeting is due with HSBC with Chairman
