MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON Monday 12th January at Ramsgill Village Hall at 7.30pm

  1. PRESENT Cllr R Harker, Cllr S. Ramsden, Cllr D. Fothergill, Cllr D Verity, Cllr A Sykes, Cllr J Graham, Cllr J Carter, Cllr A Challis, Cllr M Wells, County Cllr A Murday and Clerk Mr Alan Bean

  6. COUNCILLORS REPORTS Cllr A Murday reported signage is being fitted to Wath bridge. It was questioned if there was width restriction on Wath road for it or just weight. Local budget for grants has funds available but will be gone soon. It was discussed about the triangle at Middlesmoor for work and costs from the grants. Councillors brought up about low grit levels. Cllr A Murday took notes of locations lacking grit.

  7. LOFTHOUSE SCHOOL Nothing new to report

  8. FIRE STATION Still needing recruits

  9. STREET LIGHTS .North Yorkshire Council are considering the viability of no6 street light in Middlesmoor as its on a pole that may need replacement

  10. VILLAGE ISSUES Lofthouse Village Hall are looking into options for the roof, including solar panels.

  11. PARKING NEAR RESERVOIR None

  12. HIGHWAYS Bushes near Trapping hill needs cutting back. Flooding is occurring in locations due to drains being covered. Being forwarded to highways at NYC

  13. PLAYGROUNDS . Nothing to report

  14. PARISH CARETAKER Side of reservoir needs digging with spades.

  15. PLANNING APPLICATIONS None

  16. COMMUTED SUMS Nothing to report

  17. MILLENIUM MARQUEE Nothing to report

  18. PINFOLD It has been discussed that if it is sold, it must be with an accurate valuation. £3500 was offered and refused. Location of deeds was questioned. It was thought it would be best to check register for Middlesmoor

  19. WEBSITE nothing to report on website, but after a pishing attach, it was agreed to upgrade the email protection.

  20. CORRESPONDENCE Nidderdale plus consultation is due by 31st January
